ENGLISH B (HL)

Open-minded refers to the will to consider new ideas without prejudices and personally, I believe that during the course of English, this learner profile fits perfectly within the structure of the class. As a classroom, we had the chance to analyze controversial topics through debates, writing essays, and developing argumentative skills to build valid claims. In regards to this piece of evidence, we had to write a creative story based on the assigned topic; a dandy. Besides developing argumentative skills, the ability to be open-minded also increases the level of creativity and this can be seen in the evidence, where I was able to create a structured story with adequate use of vocabulary with a spark of creativity to make the trama interesting. While thinking about the evidence, I remember I felt passioned about the story since it was one of many writing tasks I'd done before, I already had developed proper writing skills and therefore, I was able to enjoy writing "Dandylandia" by letting my mind-thoughts flow with no need of overthinking. Lastly, I believe that creative writing will strongly help me in the future by providing me with a structured set of ideas on how to portray my imagination with words and use it to properly communicate my way of thinking.
